Do you want to setup Microsoft exchange active sync email account, zimbra or lotus notes account on your android mobile phone then here is few top applications that you need to know in the android market which serves your purpose, though there are dozens of free and paid exchange email clients out there below are few apps i found and tested and found to be good after using it for a while, though latest version of android comes with inbuilt exchange sync client but it is immature and does not serves the professional purpose, below are few apps that is a must have if your corporate email account is from exchange.

RemoSync Exchange Activesync:
The latest version of RemoSync is developed to support devices that are running from android 1.5 and above, Remo sync is one of the best active sync client so far and syncs Email, Contacts,Calendar, Tasks and supports not only all versions of microsoft exchange(2003, 2007, 2010) but other similar servers such as Zimbra, IBM Lotus notes, hotmail, Google servers utilizing ActiveSync Protocols whats more it supports Enterprise-level Security. IT administrator can control alpha-numeric security PIN, data wipe your contacts, email and calendar when is phone is lost or theft without compromising for personal details at wrong hands, SSL encryption all application data files are encrypted.

Users have multiple synchronization options – Real-time direct push, Scheduled Sync, or Manual Sync.

Using Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync (EAS) protocols, RemoSync connects Android phones directly to Microsoft Exchange (2003, 2007, and 2010), IBM Lotus Notes(8.5.1, and later versions), Hotmail, and Zimbra servers giving users real-time access to email, contacts, global address list (GAL), calendar, and tasks. No proxy servers are needed.

Maximum of 2000 contacts from the default contact folder (at server) can be synchronized to the phone’s contact database, option to save the contacts to native phonebook, add and modify the contacts, search and access contacts from global address list (GAL) by entering minimum of 3 characters (Lotus Notes requires 4 characters), make voice calls or send text or MMS messages from the contact’s phone number, send email messages from the contact’s email address. and much more below are screen shots of remo sync and QRCODE to download it.

Touch down:
This is same as RemoSync but lacks many of the features that remo sync has to offer such as i dont know whether they support zimbra and lotusnotes because i did not find a way or option to add those accounts, rest it is more or less similar to remo sync.

Road Sync:
Similar to touch down and Remo sync they offer secure push and other features but not sure whether it supports other servers such as IBM lotusnotes, Zimbra, Hotmail and Google servers with exchange protocols support.

after using dozens of apps for a while i found above three apps to be worth wile giving it a try according to your needs, if you tried any other microsoft exchange client on android and found it to be better do leave a comment.
