This is one of the most debated topic from conspiracy theorists to even normal people, Does television influence our consciousness and controlled by the secret people who is controlling the media and sending subminial messages which is said to be only interpreted by some part of the brain? it is said that subliminal messages are hidden in most of the media ranging from TV shows, movies, newspaper, ads, logos etc etc.
Not only TV's are used as the tool to program us with information to influence the masses on current affairs, but also it is said that TV's makes us dumb and stupid i can present generation kids are so much involved and absorbed in TV shows i can see them sitting in front of Television for longer hours with jaw opened and eyes without a blink for hours as if they are into some kind of a shock.
Now a days TV is so much part of a life people are blindly following and believing what is said through this very medium, people are believing it more than what reality is, recently i came across a young lady Aussie in chat room when i introduced myself that i am from INDIA she asked so many questions "Does elephants walk freely in your streets? "Do Indians wear jeans", "Will all Indians were turbans" etc etc when i asked why she got all the doubt she said she has seen India many times on the TV, isn't that weird? i think rest of the world are thinking middle east and rest of the Arab countries as "War Zones" that's how media portrays false information.
Recently there was a scarcity for onions though onions was selling for the all time high 90 RS per kg when one of the TV announced in the news that onions are selling for more than 120RS vendors actually started it sell for more than 120Rs when asked they said ain't you see TV? media some times is not responsible in dealing matters at all, all they want is just some news.
