windows media player 12 now playing and missing playing list pane ?

All the people who have upgraded to windows 7 and wm12 know that they are missing as home screen in wm12 similar to wm11 now playing pane but to show that list we have to manually

Open Windows Media Player go to Library view and go to Organize as shown in below pic and click on option menu.

now you get a option screen as shown in below pic now click on the Player tab and under Player settings checkout the checkbox "Keep Now Playing on top of other windows" click ok

Right click on menu-bar choose view--> now playing and again right click on the wm visualization screen and choose "showlist".

once you change the option as said above you can see the now playing similar to wm11 as shown in below pic

is the above change permanent? yes! you close the wm12 and reopen it again you dont have to back through all the steps again.

It doesn't work... Every time i click to change the video or song file the list dissapears again. This "fix" didn't do a damn thing to help keep the playlist or now playing list visible. Have to keep manually right clicking and clicking show list over and over!

Yep. It doesn't stay permanent. Another one of many retarded changes made by Microshaft. I dual boot with XP still on my machine for this reason (amongst many, many others). I cannot stand any OS past Windows XP. Microsoft has gone to crap!
