recently while skipping channels on television i came across Daily TV series which started almost 2 years back still running i was amazed to see the skills of present day directors who can drag the serials for such a long time that too 2-3 years long!! really amazing.
Though these kind of dragging the daily serials started as early as this decade but the trend continues to even this day, early 80's and 90's was the decade where almost all the serials were just 10 to 40 episodes long any thing longer than this was unimaginable at that time, but the longest TV series that we saw in late 80s and early 90s was Mahabharata which ran for 2 years total of 94 episodes it was weekly, but can you imagine daily tv series running for 2 years? almost 500+ episodes! really unimaginable...
In 1980's in India Doordarshan was the only TV channel and commercial break was something no one heard about, advertisement was aired at the beginning and ending of any programs and even movies, early 90's was the beginning of commercial breaks era i still remember a person explaining what is commercial break to the people in 1989 in doordarshan, early 90's almost all the the television programs had single commercial break that is, if program was of 30mins there was commercial break at 15th minute, during late 90's there was 2 commercial break for a 30mins program, from the beginning of 2000 till now it increased to 4 breaks for a 30mins program and this is one of the reason for elongation of the TV Series..
But we have to appreciate the patience of today's mothers and sisters who eagerly waits and watch these tv serials which contains 10mins of serials followed by 20mins of advertisement we shud also appreciate the efforts of producers for their skills to hold them.

Hey Manju, at times those drama, nautanki and accesories are a "UNWING" methodology for me when am back from work. I switch on for 30 mins and its like a daily dose for me :)))
Well Said Maju.... its weird fact n getting bored to see them again n again. Even though now days some serials coming with Filmy songs ROFL...which makes me very enjoyable. Those songs make me laugh out.
But thing is like that Housewives likes to watch them for their time pass n serial guys thinks their serials r very nice.

Leave advertisements. Advertisements flock were the TRPs are. Some directors should be appreciated for handling a script which has basically no script and a script which started with something and dragged on to another thing with characters added, erased that in due course of years no one has any clue of the characters or story but still watch what is dished out in the current week or so :S its a weird recipe to make a successful mega serial even though it looks simple :P
Old days serials like 'Hun Log' and 'Mahabharata' ran for years because of its simplistic content and tight script.

the serial baduku is toooo much drama and we really hate the lavanya husband pradeep cos he acts to much in that serial he never understand lavanya so sad of her and pls change his acting or better stop the serial.the serial episode is tooooooooooooooooo much,its already near by 2333 ,pls stop the serial or finish it soooooon
