Did you know fake products of international brands are being sold on most of the Indian shopping portals though its not that hard to believe its true! though i don't want to share the names of the online portal and the agency i had a interesting encounter which made me to decide not to shop on any Indian shopping portals.
so what the fuss is all about? recently i ordered a product(don't want to mention it) through one of the leading online shopping portal because the product was not available in the local market as it is a brand "As seen on tv" type, though this product was available on EBAY and AMAZON for 2400rs i ordered it on Indian shopping portal because they were offering it for just 380rs! shocked???? yes almost 70% unbelievable discount though i placed the order happily thinking i saved lot of bucks and opted for COD (CASH ON DELIVERY).
one day after ordering i started getting doubt whether the ordered product is fake or original and worth money? so opened the website went to the order form and emailed to the supplier questioning its genuinity see the below pic for the rest of the story.
I was shocked how boldly he was accepting it was a fake product though he said its 50% fake and 50% original but indirectly it meant its a fake product after receiving response i replied him to cancel my order giving him my order number and said i will reject it if it has already dispatched, though he replied that they already dispatched and can reject if i wished.
So guys beware when you are shopping online because not all portals offer reliable service and cash back if not satisfied... though some portals promises cash back, in many forums i heard that these guys do not entertain customers once the product has been sold.

Products sold on rediff and indiatimes are supplied by thirdparty agenices who sell most of the time either fake or crap products.
