if you would have asked anyone "what letter 'I' meant to you" little more than a decade ago every one would have said its just another letter from our English alphabets or they would have said its an vowel... but now ask the same question to any one about what the letter 'i' mean to them? even before you completing the sentence many would have answered iPhone, iPod, or 
iPad etc...
early 2000 was a decade where the letter "I" started gaining significant with the release of iMAC from apple and with the later release of iPOD, iPhone etc, letter "I" was the new buzzword almost many companies and products started attaching "i" prefix to their products and name such as iBall, iSeva, even google(iGoogle) etc this shows how famous letter 'I' has been virtually during this decade.
This weekend i was searching for a good domain name as one of my friend wanted to start a business and he preferred a domain starting with letter 'i' to my suprise almost all the names even indian, greek, russian, german all the names starting with 'i' related to his business was taken to my curiosity when i searched for general domain names starting with 'i' it was no surprise that domain poachers had already grabbed everything.
what ever it is the every one wants the letter 'i' in their products and 'i' is th new 'cool'and the perception of 'i' in the minds of people is growing stronger day by day and is a major brand power now.
It was very funny that apple appealed in court to claim the ownership of letter 'i' prefix while court rejected the apples claim on the letter saying that product carrying letter 'i' is not the brain child of steve jobs so guys if you are planning to start a product starting with letter 'i' watch out steve jobs is watching :P
the meaning of alphabet 'i' have been changed drastically in the minds of people thanks to apple and the digital age, btw do you feel the same way like i felt?
