i can't do a single push-up or dip's ?

for all you IT professional how many DIPS, pull ups or push ups can you do? i bet many of you cannot do even one! i am a average built almost lean so never thought of fitness kind of stuff... its almost a decade i last remember that i did any physical activities such as playing cricket,jogging or morning walks etc..

until recently i never noticed i am gaining a bit tummy weight(fat) and decided to do some fitness exercises today morning when i tried to do some warm up exercises i was very much shocked that i cannot do even a single dip's, my hands could not lift its own body weight and my wrists felt almost going to break my thighs hit the floor even before my hands started to tremble? WTF i am totally our of form...

How ever its never too late... from this moment itself i committed to incorporate highly active and fitness life style, doing some online research on best exercises and fitness workouts... don't say join gym i am least bothered in six packs and body building, what i am planning is a few simple workout and few kilometers of jogging... let see how it goes..
