Do you feel more hungry when sick ?

today morning i woke up with sore throat, nasal drain, headache and dry sometime watery eye all are the classic symptoms of sinus or allergic infection... i get this type of condition 4 to 5 times a year and lasts just one day but when ever i get sinus and feel sick i feel hungry more and some times eat almost three times than normal..... many times i wonder if anyone else feels the same way when they are sick or i am the only person.... though i never cared to google, but today when i googled i came to know many have the same hungry appetite when they are sick.

so why our body wants more food when we are sick...?
one most common explanation given throughout the internet and discussion board in the medical community is our body is preparing to fight the illness with hunger and needs extra nutrients so this is the bodies natural defense mechanism preparing itself to fight against something and powering up our immune system...

what ever it is i don't know whether it is good or bad i am just going the way my intuition and body says if any of you guys reading this know more about this do let me know thanks... by the way i am already feeling dizzy while writing this post got to sleep bye...
