recently while browsing friends profile on facebook my eyes fell on the link poke ( poking ) below the picture of my friend without second thought i clicked on the "Poke myfriendname" link then i thought what i have done i just clicked something without knowing what it does then i started searching on the net what the "Poke" really mean and does on facebook.
A Poke is just something like attention seeker just like saying hello or letting him know that you are there and thinking about them, so that you can get their attention without notifying or having to write it on the wall so that others can view it, it can also be considered as online social flirting because no one else can see the poke.
I also heard on the various internet discussion forum that poking some one on facebook lets us view others profile for a week, though i did not see this feature on any non friends facebook i think this might be the older feature what ever it is recently one of my friend say he had poking war with his GF ;) so guys happy poking and still if poking has different meaning you know share with us.
