Peek mobile email device vs smart phones

recently Aircel launched a first of its kind email device in India to enhance email experience on the move, what special about this device is its a email only low cost device priced at 2999 INR and it is said to be available in all Aircel stores, croma, ezone and few other stores.
coming to my personal review based on my experience in email's and based on the features of peek has to offer, peek comes in two flavors peek and peek pronto but in india aircel is offering only peek, peek is said to:

Peek features
--> support multiple(three) email accounts
--> easy to setup interface
--> supports push email that is you get emails as and when you get it that is on the fly,
--> peek as the the ability to view attachments (pdf, word, excel, pictures etc)
--> supports features such as Security lock, Airplane mode, themes, sounds and alerts
--> Ability to download contacts
--> Can search inbox for mails
--> Remarkable battery life 3-5 days( from various sources)

now coming to look and feel of the device
--> Large Screen
--> Peek is slim, thin and ligt weight
--> QWERTY Keypad
--> Side Scroller Wheel to scroll the mail headers and menu up and down
--> a back button on side of the device
--> Nice Email indicator on top of the screen to for alert new emails

below is the video on overall first hand review on peek which gives a nice overall view on this email device

the aircel peek plans is as below:
Prepaid: unlimited email service for first 90 days at the price tag of 897 rs and subsequent plans are rs 89 for 7days and 299 for 30 days.

Postpaid: similar to prepaid rs 897 for first 90 days for unlimited email service and monthly rental of 299.

and my take on the peek being a email application developer for more than 3 years, though peek says what it does it has the some of the cons on its side being a non touch interface device it is very pain to browse view and compose email using the scroll wheel and button but this will be a good device for less tech savvy people such as grandpa's, doctors who access emails once in a while and other major cons of it is its inability to make voice calls without it people always carry two devices one for emailing and one for voice calls, what ever it is lets see how Indian people goes with peek?

This set does not fulfill the claims:-
You can not open PDF files,scanned pdf files,excel files,power point presentations,many formats of photo.
to can not browse.
why should someone buy a set dedicately for Email,where the attachments of Emails can not be opened.
A total waste of money and thorogh useless set.
