can plants see, hear, think and feel the senses ?

Do plants and trees talk and have consciousness like humans beings this is the question i came across in one of the internet forums and i was amazed to see that most of the people to answer it as "no" and when i researched on this topic a bit i was very much baffled to know that there was lot of experiments and research done on this subject.

and most famous being our own Jagadish Chandra Bose who showed that plants responded to various stimuli using his newly invented crescograph and he also found that both humans and plants have a similar behavior in tissues and plants behaved as if they have nervous system and some of his other experiments showed plants grow fast in pleasant music than and their growth is retarded in harsh and unpleasant sounds and he also showed plants are similar to human beings by various other experiments which was later indeed proven.

i was very much intrigued after seeing below 30 year old documentary called "secret life of plants" which shows some convincing evidence and experiments that plants do have consciousness and react to feelings of other living beings around them and external environment this documentary really changed the way i see the plants and trees around me.
A Must see Video(interesting experiments and points in Second half of video)

and in other experiment by dr Winslow briggs from carnegie institute shows plants detect various wavelenght and colors to tell them what environments is like this is the result of plants sending the shoots straight to the sunlight when the plant is in the shadow or dark and dr tony trewavas of university of edinburgh has shown that plants respond to wind or touch plants in the windy spot has thicher roots and stems than the plants in other places.

Scientists at US Department of agriculture have shown that corn, tobacco and cotton plants recognize what kind of caterpillar us munching its leaves by the taste of caterpillar spit and the plant produces a kind of tuerpentine like chemical that attracts the same kind of wasp that eats the caterpillar.

Robert Bryanton, a theoretical physicist plants uses a fifth dimension and quantum mechanics (which states that particles doesn't exist until you measure them, and measuring particles fundamentally changes them and still weird though particles are different places and still they are connected) because of this plants have 95% efficiency in transferring energy where we humans have achieved just 80%, and its ability of healing power most of the medicine we take at least one of the plants derivative and much more this leaves the question did plants exploit the properties of quantum mechanics before human did?

so guys next time you see the plants around you don't forget plants do have life like us, they think, they react and respond to our consciousness they can see thing around us the way we do.

Thanks for this. Definitely interesting. I do think it's a leap in logic to suggest that plants think and "have a life like us" though. All these examples of biochemical reactions do not indicate sentience (perceptual awareness) or presence of a mind, as is the case with humans and animals.
