What is Themida ? and error while starting the application?

program is failing to start? recently i installed an new application but when i tried to launch it, it throwed the following error

Themida
A monitor program has been found running in your system.
Please, unload it from memory and restart your program.

Though when i checked on the system i could not find any monitoring program running though re-launching quite a few times of the installed application failed, when i googled for a while i came to know what themida is all about and why application is failing to start

actually themida is an anti-hacking program a component that is actually included in some of the applications to avoid the reverse engineering of their application/software since many people use to crack software using some of the tools like process monitor, regmon, filemon, registry monitors etc etc and because some of these applications closed does not completely exit from the memory Themida the windows application protector software detects these in memory and tries to not start the application to protect the application from crackers and hackers.

then i came to know why the application failed actually i used Process Monitor before installing and starting the new app, but after a restart i was able to load the installed application normally.
