How to fix verify fake pen drive or memory stick

did you accidentally purchased a duplicate flash drive? then this post is for your, few months ago i posted about fake 32GB pendrives in india and Bangalore, i know many friends who fell in the fake 32 and 16GB stick trap and got scammed...

are people so dumb to get scammed? no way few of my friends together purchased 10pieces from a guy after testing the pendrive by filling whole 32GB with some files and movie folders, but still they fell in the trap why? they did not verified the data they actually put in the pen drive :(...

All pendrive/flash drive contains two major parts storage controller chip and actual storeage chip see below picture, the controller is where the actual hack happens the frimware of the controller is flashed to tell the computer that the pen drive has a capacity of 32 or 16GB windows or other operating system depends on this information and displays to the users information given by this controller... so most of the fakers take 1 or 2GB storeage chip and flash(write) higher capacity on to its contoller.

in fact these hackers are so genius when you try to put more than 1 or 2GB or actual size of the storage chip it still takes the information without giving any errors but real problem occurs when you try to read back the data all you get is random garbage of zeros and ones.

though many people who have purchased these fake sticks wont realize until lately because for example say if fake 32GB stick real capacity is 2GB most of the users rarely use more than 1 or 2GB.

download the application from Here and unzip it click on the exe to run(this tool does not require installation) the default language will be set to German click on the English to change the language as shown in below picture

Now make sure to copy the files in your pen drive to the computer delete the pendrive contents and click on select target from the tool and direct it to your pendrive now click on "write + verify" because as i said some fake flash drives are desinged to take data upto 32GB but will not store after 1 or 2GB or actual size so verification is necessary now after clicking the button wait for a while if your flash drive is genuine it takes almost 3hrs to complete 32GB if you get any error in between then your pendrive may be fake

there are also so many tricks to fix fake pendrives to work with its actual memory and show the actual capacity by reprogramming the controller you can get lots of instruction for different kind of fake sticks by its chip numbers, Just Google it you can get ton's of sites with help
