Remove selected url from browsers Firefox and internet explorer

wanted to delete some of the individual links or typed urls from browsing history that you visited last night ;) ? some times for some reason you don't want some URL's to be shown in your address bar auto completion then here is the simple trick on how to remove individual Website links or URL's from Firefox or IE

For firefox:

deleting unwanted URL's from Firefox address bar history is very easy just pull down the address bar using mouse and point and highlight the URL you want to delete as show in below PIC and press SHIFT + DELETE keys the URL will be automatically deleted from browsing history

For Internet Explorer

Removing Individual URL in IE is a bit tricky and requires a small utility or registry editing though registry editing is not recommended for naive end users editurls is one such small utility that comes handy for naive users which helps editing or deleting the URL addresses also called "Typed URL's you can download EditURL application from Here below is the screen shot

if you don't want to run or install the third party application you can clear individual typed urls from system registry but be careful to handle registry with care improper modification can corrupt the Operating system below is the steps to edit registry to deleted unwanted typed URL's

1. Click-->Start-->run

2. Type "REGEDIT" without quotes and press enter

3. Now Expand the Registry editor and go to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER-->Software-->Microsoft-->Internet Explorer-->Typed URL as shown in the below PIC

4. Delete all the URL's or the links you dont want to appear in the Addressbar

5. Make sure that IE is closed while editing the Registry else chances are that your IE will write the back the old values again.
