having trouble with Disk Defragmenter Could Not Start it? recently when my home computer performance was reduced i thought of defragmenting the c: drive but for weird reason i could not start disk defragmentation tool it was showing some weird error so after a few R&D i was able to fix it below are some of the tips you can follow if you face same trouble:
1. First and foremost run check disk you can do it by command prompt start-->run--> type "command" and in c: prompt type "chkdsk/f" just restart the computer to perform the chkdsk.
2. if the above does not fix the problem you can try fixing defragmenters snap-in files and registry entries
start-->run--> type "command" and run below commands back to back
c:\>cd \windows\system32 (change directory to windows system32 folder and execute below commands
c:\windows\system32\> regsvr32 dfrgsnap.dll
c:\windows\system32\> regsvr32 dfrgui.dll
now go to c: \windows\ folder find the dfrg.inf right click on it and select Install as shown in below pic
now you are done this should fix your problem if this does not fixed then probably your drive is running out of space check out whether you have enough disk space at-least 1GB and also check whether your system is on hibernate mode if so un hibernate it

Yeah, I agree with your opinion that a simple disk defragmentation can help easily make the computer run faster and insist on regularly defragmenting my computer.
