Windows Mobile 6 sdk not showing in visual studio 2008

Have you upgraded your system to vs2008 from visual studio 2005 with windows mobile 6.0 sdk? then you would have noticed the absence of wm6 sdk template from new project dialogue.

if so then there might be two reasons for this issue:

1. Uninstall and reinstall windows mobile 6.0 sdk:
Because SDK needs to be register with the development tool to show up as you have already installed it in vs2005, uninstalling wm sdk6.0 standard and professional and reinstalling them will fix the problem and will show on both vs2008 and vs2005(if vs is not uninstalled and have both side by side). this step will fix your problem in most cases.

2. Its already there but you are looking at wrong place:
In visual studio 2005 you can see all the installed sdk in project template as a tree structure under "smart device" as shown in below pic

but where as in visual studio 2008 to select the sdk there is an extra step, you need to go for an extra window and select the required sdk from the list, as shown in below pics

if you are having the same trouble then i suspect your problem might be one of the above case, if your problem was different and you found the solution dont forget to penn it here and share solution with us.
