why Firefox starts slow ? few tips and tricks to speed it up

From few days i began to notice that my mozilla was starting way too slower than it was before though at first i blamed that the version 3.5.3 was the culprit and i thought of researching about what was the problem.

so here are the few tips that helped me in making my firefox faster like it was before.

1. First of all remove all the unwanted addons. firefox always checks whether the upgrade is available for each active addon installed, this itself consume few seconds of time at startup.

2. Firefox has a default setting of remembering of each and every site you visited in past 90 days if you are tech savy always online then information maintained may be a very huge contributing to late startup see the below pic, it is better to reduce to make browsing history to be remembered by limiting it to 7 days.

goto Tools -> Options -> Privacy-> and from dropdown box select "use custom settings for history" and check "automatically start firefox in private browsing session" and change history to remember for less than a week.

3.If you are still not satisfied with the performance of your Firefox then there is a opensource application called firefox preloader which helps in starting firfox fastly, how does it speedsup firefox? simple firefox preloader loads parts of FF into ram at system startup this makes firefox to load quickly whenever you launch it through shortcut.
