what is my motherboard model number ? a must have tool to know it

one of the common question many people face is to identify mother board, sound drivers, Memory, Cpu info, software license, etc etc. this happens when some one built your system long ago you lost all your drivers and when time comes to reinstall the OS then you face the real trouble and this happened to my friend his OS crashed and was not booting but after installing the fresh copy of OS his on board sound card refused to speak his monitor was very much out of sync but a awesome tool called "SIW" came to rescue and helped in finding all the drivers.

SIW is a awesome FREE tool that do not require installation, that can show complete details of your system:
  • Software Inventory: Operating System, Installed Software and Hotfixes, Processes, Services, Users, Open Files, System Uptime, Installed Codecs, Software Licenses (Product Keys / Serial Numbers / CD Key), Secrets (Password Recovery).
  • Hardware Inventory: Motherboard, Sensors, BIOS, CPU, chipset, PCI/AGP, USB and ISA/PnP Devices, Memory, Video Card, Monitor, Disk Drives, CD/DVD Devices, SCSI Devices, S.M.A.R.T., Ports, Printers.
  • Network Information: Network Cards, Network Shares, currently active Network Connections, Open Ports.
  • Network Tools: MAC Address Changer, Neighborhood Scan, Ping, Trace, Statistics
  • Miscellaneous Tools: Eureka! (Reveal lost passwords hidden behind asterisks), Monitor Test, Shutdown / Restart.
  • Real-time monitors: CPU, Memory, Page File usage and Network Traffic.
just download the tool run the tool and click on mother board option in the tree as shown in below PIC to get complete details of your mother board profile

Now you can see the complete details of your mother board and its model number, my friend was able to identify his on board sound card model by using this tool and searched on the internet to find it. other alternative tool is CPU-z and belrac advisor which more or less offer same functionality just Google it for links
