Cannot uninstall Ask toolbar even from control panel add remove programs?

ASk toolbar is one of the annoying add-on for firefox and internet explorer i have ever come across , This tool bar comes as a addon application with many software's Nero, weather watcher, frost wire etc which will by default checked during installation if you miss and install the toolbar this dirty little program changes your homepage and redirects your default browser search query to ask.com and shows tool bar with sponsored links in web browser which is really annoying.


recently while installing an application i forget to uncheck ask toolbar not to install but when i tried to uninstall it from the control panel it refused to uninstall so here are few tips on how to get rid of this annoying addon

Firefox
Open up firefox-->Tools>Add ons-->Find Ask.com-->Disabled or un-install addon

Internet Explorer
Open up internet explorer-->Manage addon-->Enable or disabled addon-->Find ask.com-->Disable/remove


go to C:\Program Files\ look for ask.com folder and delete it most of the time this should fix your problem this is the way i get rid of the ask tool bar from my computer and another interesting news i found out is ask toolbar causes license key corruption in kaspersky anti virus software.
